10 Years this year!

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

2010 marks the tenth anniversary of SR Print Management being “born”.  Having been in the print business many years already, I decided to start SR Print Management to try to be different from just being “another” printer. I wanted to be able to handle all my customers requirements.  Not having one specialism means we can supply almost anything printed, and not being tied to one production schedule means we can be lightening fast on deliveries where required - these are just two of the things that differentiate us from other printers.

Many companies claim “Customer Service” as one of their Unique Selling Points, but I truly believe ours to be great.  A recent survey we conducted, thankyfully confirmed this.  In the survey 100% of respondents said that they would recommend us (thats better that 8 out of 10 cat owners recommending Whiskers!).  Thank you to those that took the time to complete the survey, the results were very positive, a few suggestions were made which we are now trying to put in place (some already have been).  Perhaps the most surprising result on the survey was that 56% of respondants turned down the opportunity to get sweets or chocolate as a reward :-)

To celebrate 10 years, you will notice a little emblem appear on our paperwork from now on.  This is because we are very proud of the achievement in what is a tough market place at times.  I am sure I speak on behalf of my staff when I say that we still “love” print.  If you read the trade press it pretty much mirrors the national press… doom and gloom.  We don’t believe in doom and gloom at SRPM, we relish the challenges that our clients set us on a daily basis.  Living up to and exceeding our customers expectations is the reason we take on those challenges, employing great people helps us achieve this.

Speed Stuns - but not on adwords

Monday, June 15th, 2009

We are very lucky at SRPM, our website ranks very high on google due to being set up in the correct manner all those years ago (thanks Keir!).  However, we do occassionally try to boost visitor traffic with the use of Google Adwords.

Last week I was creating some new campaigns to try to get accross exactly what we do.  One area we are often complimented on is the speed at which we can get work produced.  In fact “Speed Stuns” has become a mantra for the staff at SRPM.

With this in mind I thought I would head up an advert with “Speed Stuns”. Unfortunately Google was having none of it.  The wonders of computerised systems means that it thought we were selling drugs rather than printing.  Back to the drawing board!

Jargon

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

The world of print has many, many terms which are complicated or actually mean the same thing.  In an attempt to help, a while back we created a Jargon Buster.  I have uploaded this to our webspace and some customers may find it helpful.  We try wherever possible not to use too much jargon, but here is a tool to help you cope with some of it.  If you feel anything is missing, by all means let me know.

Working towards FSC

Monday, December 8th, 2008

SR Print Management are currently working towards gaining FSC group scheme accreditation.  The Forestry Stewardship Council accreditation is based on a chain of custody which ensures certain procedures are followed from the Forest itself, through pulper, paper mill, paper merchant to printer.  I will post more details on the news section of our website and here once everything is confirmed hopefully within the next month or so.  The staff at SRPM are working hard to ensure that they understand and can comply with all our new procedures.  FSC is something that many companies are now looking for when choosing their print supplier.
