Fantastic February
Wednesday, January 28th, 2009Well, I don’t know about you, but I am sick of all the doom and gloom spouted in the media at the moment. I have eluded to is in previous messages too. I was listening to the radio recently and heard Peter Jones (of Dragons Den fame) talking about the same subject. He too was of the opinion that the media, whilst not creating the recession, have certainly helped it along with all the scare mongering. This year may indeed be a tough one, but there are still opportunities out there if you look hard enough.
In the current climate, we all have to be the best at what we do - it should be seen as a good opportunity for getting our house in order. If we are quiet, we need to use the spare time we have to develop new systems, re-visit the way we currently work and try to do things in a smarter way.
It is of course, also a great time to spend money if we do have any. I have heard it said that we should “spend ourselves out of this recession”, which, if not taking on silly credit risks could be true. Cash in the bank is earning little or no interest, so perhaps it would be wiser to invest in other things, or to enjoy a luxury holiday or item whilst there are bargains to be had.
January blues are almost over, lets all have a Fantastic February!
